Privacy Policy

The short version: your food math never leaves your browser. Every calculator on this site runs entirely on your device. Guest counts, menus, dates, and shopping lists are computed locally in JavaScript and are never transmitted to us or anyone else. We have no accounts, no email capture, and no forms that collect personal data.
What we don't collect
- Calculator inputs (guest counts, menu choices, event dates) — processed in your browser only.
- Names, email addresses, or contact details — the site has no signup of any kind.
- Payment information — everything here is free.
What is stored on your device
We use localStorage (not cookies) for three small preferences: your light/dark theme, your lb/kg unit choice, and your cookie-consent decision. These stay on your device, are never transmitted, and can be cleared any time through your browser settings.
Share links
The "Copy link" button encodes your current calculator inputs into the link itself so someone you send it to sees the same result. That data enters a URL only when you click the button, and only travels wherever you choose to send that link. We don't log it.
Analytics and advertising (consent-gated)
If you choose "Allow analytics" on our consent banner, we may load Google Analytics 4 to understand which calculators help people most (pages visited, approximate region, device type — no calculator inputs). If you choose "Essential only," no analytics load at all. We plan to show ads through Google AdSense; ad providers may use cookies or identifiers subject to their own policies once ads are enabled — see how Google uses information from partner sites. You can reopen your choice any time via "Cookie Settings" in the footer. Where required (EEA/UK), a Google-certified consent management platform governs personalized ads.
Server logs
Our hosting provider keeps standard, short-lived server logs (IP address, user agent, pages requested) for security and uptime. We don't merge these with anything or use them to identify you.
If you email hello@party-portions.com we'll have whatever you send, used only to reply. No lists, no marketing.
Children
This site is a food-planning utility, not directed at children under 13, and we knowingly collect no data from anyone, children included.
Your rights & changes
Since we hold essentially no personal data, most privacy-rights requests resolve to "there is nothing to delete" — but write to hello@party-portions.com with any request or question and a human will answer. Material changes to this policy will be posted here with a new effective date.
