Terms of Use
Effective July 16, 2026
Using party-portions.com means you accept these terms. They're short on purpose.
What this site is
Party Portions provides free, browser-based food-quantity calculators and planning content for hosts. Outputs are planning estimates built on documented conventions — not professional catering services, not food-safety certification, and not a guarantee that any particular crowd will eat any particular amount. Appetites vary; our sliders approximate, they don't promise.
Accuracy, as-is
We verify portion conventions against multiple references and safety figures against USDA FSIS, on the schedule described on our methodology page. Even so, the site and its outputs are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Always confirm food-safety practices against the cited USDA sources, and use a food thermometer — the clock estimates on this site never replace one.
Alcohol-related content
The wedding alcohol calculator estimates purchase quantities for hosts; it does not recommend consumption amounts for any person. You're responsible for complying with the drinking laws of your jurisdiction and for hosting responsibly.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Party Portions and its operator are not liable for any damages arising from use of this site — including over-buying, under-buying, spoiled food, event outcomes, or reliance on any estimate. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction is to stop using the site.
Fair reuse
You're welcome to quote our tables and numbers with attribution and a link to the source page. Don't republish whole pages, scrape the site into a competing product, or present our computed tables as your own work. The code, design, and content are © 2026 Party Portions.
Links out
We link to external sources (USDA, extension services, industry references) for verification. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content.
Changes
We may update these terms; the effective date above moves when we do. Continued use after a change means acceptance. Questions: contact us.
